Volkswagen T25 / T3 Holdsworth Vision Camper Model History
Circa 1986 Holdsworth introduced a new model called the VW T25 / T3 Holdsworth Vision. This was a hightop camper using Volkswagens factory hightop van as a basis. The interior was unusual in design as it had the kitchen and storage lockers running across the rear end. There was a fold away room divider between front and rear creating a seperate toilet compartment when required. The Holdsworth Vision had two flexi seats that gave a variety of layout options and could also be arranged to create either two single beds or a double bed downstairs. The layout seems to be loosely based around the earlier Holdsworth Variety model but with many improvements. The Holdsworth Vision was fitted initially with either 60 or 78 bhp water cooled petrol engines or 50 bhp diesel or 70 bhp turbo diesel water cooled engines. Four or five speed manual gearboxes or an automatic gearbox could also be specified. Later on it was possible to specify the 112 bhp petrol engine. 3) Volkswagen T25 / T3 Holdsworth Vision MK 3 Furniture Specification Furniture is timber finished with hand crafted beech wood edgings, cappings and handles.
The Volkswagen T25 / T3 Holdsworth Vision layout consisted of:
A) Adjustable front driver and swivelling passenger cab seats. Note for the Holdsworth Vision camper the cab seats had an inflatable pillow deep inside the back rest. This was allow the seat to be comfortable for driving but flat when used as part of the bed.
B) Front (optional) and rear removable tables.
Front and rear tables stored at back when not in use.

Sink and cooker and drainer top are a one piece enamelled unit. C) Spinflo 2 burner cooker unit with grill
D) Enamelled sink unit. Sink tap is supplied via an electric water pump that is switched on and off using a foot switch. M) Drainer
E) Storage unit.
G) Rear wardrobe
N) Electrolux RM 212 three way (gas / 12 volt / 240 volt operated) refrigerator (with electronic ignition system) below sink. Fridge has internal freezer compartment.
O) Special compartment for Porta loo (designed to fit a Thetford 235 Porta Potti)..
P) Toilet Compartment formed by fold away sliding door.
Other features include: Gas cylinders stored in rear cupboard accessed via the tailgate.
Mains electric hook up with earth leakage and overload circuit breakers. 220 volt plug socket. Zig CF8 Control panel incorporating battery charger, fuses, battery condition indicator and second battery with split charging.
Later models were fitted with Zig SP-4 control panel with master switches for 12 volt lighting and water pump and Zig water gauge WG-2000.
Full carpeting - wool twist with a 5 year guarantee. Draylon curtains all round.
Draylon fabric seat covers for all seats including the cab seats. Several different fabrics were used over the production life of the Holdsworth Vision. Built in 54.5 litre (12 gallon) underfloor freshwater tank with low level warning indicator (or water level gauge in later models). Flexi seats can be arranged in several different layouts including facing forward, L-shaped dinette, seat closest to sliding door removed completely for extra floor space.
With cab seats swivelled and folded flat and flexible rear seats reclined you can form either two single beds (1905 mm x 609 mm) or a large double bed (1905 mm x 1372 mm). Note the standing headroom from rear of van to front windscreen.

5) Options available at extra cost included:
Childs cab bunk (1422 mm x 660 mm). Propex thermostatically controlled blown air heating system. Front cab table to make second dinette. 41 litre waste water tank.
6) Volkswagen T25 / T3 Holdsworth Vision Hightop Roof Specification
Uses Volkswagens factory fibreglass hightop with standing height from the rear seat right to the front windscreen. Due to the design of the roof there are no interrupting roof beams inside. Opening windows on each side of roof. Pair of cupboards at the front of the hightop.
Optional lift out shelf at front for extra storage.
Optional over cab roof bed in place of front cupboard.
J) Rear roof lockers arranged to maintain headroom.
Optional roof bed (1829 mm x 1169 mm).
