Volkswagen T25 / T3 Holdsworth Villa (Mark 3) Camper Model History
Circa 1986 Holdsworth introduced the latest version of the Holdsworth Villa called the T25 / T3 Volkswagen Holdsworth Villa 3. This was an updated and improved version of the Holdsworth Villa Mark 2
This was available in either tintop, poptop elevating roof or hightop roof versions. The interior had cupboards along the side behind the drivers seat and the rear seat converted into a 3/4 width double bed.
The improvements over the Holdsworth Villa 2 included better specification including the addition of a mains hook up with earth leakage circuit breaker, 220 volt socket, second battery, reading lights at head height, special underseat compartment for porta loo, three way fridge, freshwater tank with low water level gauge and improved furniture design and finish.
The Holdsworth Villa MK3 was fitted initially with either 60 or 78 bhp water cooled petrol engines or 50 bhp diesel or 70 bhp turbo diesel water cooled engines. Four or five speed manual gearboxes or an automatic gearbox could also be specified. Later on it was possible to specify the 112 bhp petrol engine.
